The Coffee Culture Diversity in Indonesia

It is well known that there are different coffee cultures in different nations. But do you actually know that there are even varieties of coffee cultures in different town on one country?

Indonesia for example. It is well known that this country had a long history of coffee brewing. It is also long known for its coffee beans. But not many people knew the uniqueness of its coffee culture, not even the majority of Indonesian fully aware of it.

On the far west side of this country, there is Aceh. It is well known in Indonesia that the Aceh coffee is very strong. The caffeine is very high. Just one cup can make your heart beat go nuts and make you stay up all night long. For marijuana is known as traditional medicine, vegetable, and seasoning, it’s seeds are sometimes uses as an additional ingredients in coffee roasting to enriched it’s flavor.

Still in the same island, there is Lampung. The coffee is just as strong as one in Aceh. But there is a new breed of coffee here. An aromatic coffee uses oranges and strawberry. Lampung is also one of the producing city of civet coffee or luwak coffee. Maybe not as good as the one in Java, but there are more civet farm here in Lampung, compare to those in Java. In Lampung, the civets are kept in smaller cages with less variety of foods (besides coffee beans), while in Java the civets are kept in bigger cages, and in a semi wild environment with wider variety of foods.

Move to east, to Java Island, the coffees are already had an international name. Almost every person in every corner of the universe who drinks coffee knew Javanese coffee. But still fewer knew the uniqueness of coffee culture in Java Island even the Indonesian it self.

There are so many coffee brands produces by hundreds of big industries, and even thousands that produce by small industries. Thus, people in coffee shops had very wide options of coffee to drink. But different town had its own people with a differently unique behavior. In the islands of Java alone, in city like Jakarta, Bandung, and some others, the people are preferring coffee from big brands industries. But in Bandung, there are many different communities who preferred coffee that traditionally brewed from coffee beans by the local baristas of each coffee houses.

Still in Java, in a small town call Tulungagung, the people are fanatically choosing a certain brand. It is Brontoseno coffee. Each coffee houses in Tulungagung usually also had a traditional coffee that brewed by the baristas, generally called Green Coffee. It is kinds of coffee that mix with green beans in the roasting process. People here also prefer coffee with lots of sugar.

Meanwhile, in town like Surabaya, Gresik, and Sidoarjo, the people are generally fanatic to certain coffee houses. Each coffee house in these towns had their own kinds of coffee which they brewed them self. Coffee with brands aren’t being choose so much by people here.

One thing in common of coffee culture around the world is that just one cup of coffee can bring hours of social interactions between people.

Communication, the Kiss, and the Embrace

Both men and women when married are often involved in an irritating situation. It is such common for human in any rate to have differences. It is very common for us to argue. The question is how we manage conflict within our selves. It is because the moment we decide to get married, in that very moment we should able to except our mate as the way he/she is. The key of these kinds of situation is a good communication.

Men are usually had difficulty in saying what they wanted to say and always prefer to say or take words literally. In the other hand, women are usually demanding to be understood without saying too many words. In one way or another, one must understand this matter in order to be able to improve one self and build a better communication. Each human are created uniquely, and each human are always different. Thus, it is depending in how we are and how our mate is. Every each of us had our own ways to communicate. The problem is just how we improve it, and makes our communication skill better and how willing we are to build a good and healthy communication, a communication that base on truth and trust of one and another. This kind of attitude will make a good relationship that based on love and care.

Relationships that cause fear, hate, sorrow, or sour feeling are not a healthy relationship. One that experiences these kinds of feelings in having a relationship should question again the righteousness of the relationship one’s having at the moment. Even though one feels some love, love alone is not a reason to hurt or intimidate other and to love is not to over power others, but to be equal.

Divorce in Islam is a solution of an unsolved bad relationship. Despite this fact, divorce it self is not encouraged in Islam. It is the last resource, when good communication is yet impossible to neither build nor maintain. There are very strict rules in Islamic law that governs this kind of matter. It is also said that God despise it, although He permits it amongst humans.

Then, when a relationship is based upon love, there is nothing better to express love than kiss and embrace. Good kiss and embrace is also a bridge for a better deeper love and great sex.

Men and women are indeed equal and Islam emphasizes this. In Islam women and men are equal, but had different purpose of their existence. Women’s body are created in such way that it would gives men warmth and such a deep feeling of being loved when hugged by women they loved. Women body are created in such way that it reflects a function and her purpose to love, care, guide, and give peace in one’s heart. Men’s body in the other hand, are created in such way that emphasize it purpose to protect and give safety to one they love.

So when a man and women hugs each other, there is a mutual feeling that felt differently in each. Same way in sex, when a man hugs his woman with such passion and deep feeling while thrusting his penis deep inside her vagina, he is pushing his body (especially his penis) to its limits to express his love. This way, both parties will feel even deeper love, and greater sex. Thus the pleasure in having sex it self will multiply and orgasm (that usually hard to reach for women) will be easier to attain, yet greater to experience. Thus in Islam sex is supposed to be sacred and have such spiritual value.
